Our home was built around 1928 and is atop Lookout Mountain, TN. It has been remodeled and the kitchen was completed in 2009. We have about 1.5 acres with privacy. In the yard we have a large pool, trampoline, badminton and ping pong. Our house is only 3 miles from Chattanooga and convenient to hiking, white water rafting, a large aquarium, a science-discovery museum, and multiple local natural attractions such as Rock City and Ruby Falls. Point Park, rich with Civil War history, is also atop Lookout Mountain. Atlanta, Nashville, and Birmingham are all about a 2-2.5 hour drive. Chattanooga is a popular tourist spot with walking parks along the Tennessee River and surrounded by mountains. Lookout Mountain is usually around 5-10 degrees cooler than down the mountain in Chattanooga. My husband works in Chattanooga and it takes him only 15-20 minutes to drive across town.
