We live in a great apartment. It is over 1,000 sq. feet, and has great amenities. It is within walking distance of a public golf course. 5-10 minutes from a large mall, movie theatre, and many major restaurants and shopping. The best part about where I live, however, is that it is right on the fringe of East Grand Rapids. East GR is full of great restaurants and shops, and is an amazing (and wealthy) neighborhood. East GR has its own Lake, Reeds Lake, and is just a great environment to relax in or explore. The city of Grand Rapids is a great place to vacation - there are many great things to do: Head out to Lake Michigan, attend an event at the Van Andel Arena, go to the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, attend a show at the Civic theatre, DeVos Place, Rosa Parks Circle, or countless other places. There are many fun things to do, the cost of living is low, and its a great place to visit.
