Our home is in a gated, 55+ community with entrance guards. It is 2 miles from the ocean by car, hiking and bicycle trails beside the Avila Golf and Beach Resort. Shopping is in San Luis 8 miles north, or in Arroyo Grande 8 miles south. Fishing , boating, and many other seashore attractions are avaioable year round. It is a true Mediteranean climate, so air conditioning is not needed. For the few days over 90 degrees, ceiling fans are usually adquate.
