Detached house in South-East London, walking distance from Greenwich park and ideally located for travelling to the Olympic Village. The house is one of 8 in a small cul-de-sac which were built in the 1960s. We have decorated in quite a modern way with retro touches to complement the era it was built). Downstairs we have a cloakroom, laundry room, kitchen and living room. The living room, which also has a dining table, has bi-folding doors which open into the garden.
The house was built with three bedrooms, however we have given one over to a dressing room. The master bedroom is small and cosy with just a super king-size and TV. The second bedroom doubles as a study with all our books and a PC. We have front and back gardens, the back has patio furniture and BBQ. There is free parking out front and a garage in case you want it. The immediate area is quiet compared to the urban bustle of London and the surrounding area. Located equidistant from Lewisham and Blackheath stations (12-15 minutes walk), both have rail into London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross and Victoria, and from Lewisham you can also take DLR to the docklands and Stratford (for Olympic Village). From our house you can walk to Greenwich Park (25-30 minutes) for the Equestrian events, maritime history or just great views over London. Blackheath is leafy and picturesque with many restaurants, pubs and boutiques in the village and many acres of public heath land. Lewisham by contrast is busy and urban with its shopping centre and daily market. For anyone with tickets to the Olympic games this is a great location. |
