Bellwald is a charming mountain village which has succesfully combined century-old traditions and modern tourism. Its sun-burned wooden loghouses and barns are situated on a sunny terrace on 1600 m, with a fantastic view on some of the highest peaks of the Alps and on the marvelous Valley of Goms. Bellwald's ski resort goes up to over 2600 m and offers great pistes for everybody. A 10-min-drive away is the major ski resort of Aletsch with over 100 kms of pistes. "Aletsch" is also Europe's largest glacier, a UNESCO-Natural-World-Heritage. In the summer, this region offers spectacular possibilities for hiking and trekking. It's also a perfect place for families with children of all ages.
Bellwald is situated near the Swiss-Italian border. The famous Swiss- and North-Italian lakes (of Lugano, Maggiore, Como, Orta) are about 100-150 km away. To Milano it takes about 2h30 by car.

The "Stefanino" is a traditional log-style chalet in a quiet, sunny position on a southern oriented slope. Nearby: public parking, groceries, restaurants, 2 play-grounds, indoor pool, tennis, mini-golf, chair lift, downhill pistes, cross-country trail, moutain bike trails etc.

3-room-apartment on 1st floor, living/dining room with open fireplace and TV/DVD. 1 double bedroom with 1 double bed (2 x 80 cm x 200 cm). 1 room with 1 French bed (140 cm x 200 cm). An additional matress is available. Open kitchen (3 hotplates, oven). Bath/WC. Balcony 12 m2. Terrace furniture. Fantastic view on the Weisshorn (4505 m). Garden. Please note: No smoking inside.

This chalet is easily accessible by public transport from all over Europe (trains and cablecar). It is situated at a distance of about 30 kms (of mountain train) from the major railroad connecting Milano (Italy) with Basel and Geneva. Cable car from train station to Bellwald. Then 10-minute-walk (uphill) from the cable car to our chalet.

We are a family (non-smokers) of 4, my wife Tiziana, myself Christoph (both of us language teachers) and our 2 girls Sarah and Myriam (8 & 6). We live in St-Prex, at the Lake of Geneva (between Lausanne and Geneva). We exchange our mountain chalet in Bellwald (Valais)during all periods except Christmas - New Year and February (already booked out).
