Karlstad is the principal town of Värmland, which is a province in the middle of Sweden. Karlstad is situated by the Lake Vänern, which is the biggest lake in Sweden. Karlstad is also right in between Oslo and Stockholm. Our town has 75000 inhabitants.
There are plenty of different outdoor activities to do in the surroundings, like fishing, swimming, canoeing, biking, boating, rafting, golfing etc.
Just a few steps from our home you may go for a swim, fish, canoe or go by boat around the town. Through Karlstad runs the river Klarälven . The river has its origin in Norway and runs into the Lake Vänern. It’s very popular to build your own raft out of logs and then go down the river for a few kilometres. Also big forests are close and ideal for walking/hiking.
We have all the equipment you need if you want to go on out-door activities like canoe, tent, sleeping bags and so on.
Our home has is fully equipped and is situated close to the town centre. We usually take our bikes when we go into town.

We are open for an exchange between June 28th and August 9th every year. We would like to spend around two weeks in your home.
We have our first home and two second homes to offer you. All three of may be included in an exchange if you like.
