are a family of four, Lucia (6), Arturo (4), Paloma (can't say), and myself Ramon (40 just). I am a freelance construction manager and Paloma is by now taking good care of our children. For the last four years we've had our hollidays in coast hotels, but we are looking forward to a different kind of vacation, visiting other countries and practicing our language skills.
OUR HOUSE
Fantastic apartment in the historic city of Avila. Recent construction, just April/08. It's a top floor facing south, so you'll have plenty of natural light. It's my actual office but could be easely arranged into a comfortable home for four people.
For driving simulation enthusiasts, or just having some fun, there is a fantastic PS3-GT5-G25 driving cockpit, which I use to relax in my spare time at work.
THE PLACE
Experience the medieval atmosphere of Avila walking around the world famous Roman walls from 1090ac, which are also the best preserved in Spain. Enjoy our fantastic typical food like suckling pig "cochinillo", the veal steak "chuleton" or simply going for "tapas" like locals do. Of course you can make your own shopping and cook at home if you wish. There are many choices for sport and outdoor activities too.
HOW TO GET HERE
From Madrid-Barajas international airport by car thru 120km of highway roads. You can also come by train or bus.
Our car could also be part of the exchange so that you can also visit Segovia, Salamanca, Toledo and of course Madrid. All are in a 100km radius from Avila.
