Our apartment is a sunny 2BR located in the mountains of Guayama with a pool in the backyard. Guayama is close to many beaches, hiking, downtown, rainforest, etc. There are 2 full beds and ample closet space in each bedroom. A balcony with a table and chairs overlooks the pool and a beautiful view of the mountains. Since we are in the mountains, we do not need air conditioning, but we have 3 fans if wanted.
We are about a 45 min. drive from San Juan and only 20-30 min. from Ponce. The rainforest (El Yunque) is also about 30 min. away. The whole island is only about a 2-2 1/2 hour drive East to West. It is recommended that you rent a car so you can explore the island freely on your own. There are many inexpensive car rentals in all major cities, or even right at the San Juan Airport (SJU).
