My apartment is right in the historical center of Perugia, with remarkable land marks, such as the Etruscan Arch, the Etruscan walls, medieval and renaissance churches, palaces and towers. The town has plenty of museums, theaters and libraries, as well as cafes, restaurants and bars. High standard musical and performing festivals take place in Perugia and in the surrounding towns, such as Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio, Siena ...
The all region of Umbria, as well Tuscany and Lazio, are easily accessible by public transport and the fares are rather cheap. My apartment is only a few minutes walk from the University for foreigners where there are all different types of courses on Italian language and civilization. |
