Lovely modern flat in Florence
My home is a small, luminous, cozy and comfortbale apartment in a quiet and safe but well-connected area of Florence. It’s a nice and modern apartment on the second floor (of a 4-floor modern apt building) with the elevator. There is a luminous open space kitchen and sitting room, 1 bathroom, big bedroom and a balcony where you can sit outside and enjoy a cozy breakfast or a glass of wine.
You can get to the main stores (butcher, chemist, bakery, grocery store, phamarcy, cafeteria, newsstand) in less than a 5-minute walk in the neigbourhood. In 3 minutes you can walk to the bus stop which directly takes to the centre of Florence and to the bus station S.M.N. There are also two parks near.

Florence is a city of great cultural heritage and one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the Cathedral, Ponte Vecchio, museums and excellent food and wine. Some scenarios are breathtaking! The entire region is wonderful and exploring the medieval towns, the Chianti hills and wine towns and wineries are amazing. In a 1½ drive you can get to the Tuscan coast.
Siena is just 40 minutes, Bologna is 50 minutes, Milano is 1 ½ hour , Rome is 1 hour, Parma is 1 hour and Venice 2 hours by train.
You can get to Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Viareggio in less than an hour.

his is my first home exchange experience and I am really looking forward to it. I always travel alone but sometimes my daughter (25) comes with me on my trips.
I am 50y ears old , born and grown up in Canada and have been living in Italy since I was 16. I work for a government agency but sometimes I teach English in private schools.
