We live in a pretty, traditional thatched cottage in a quiet, scenic area. We are near Lough Corrib and 20 minute drive 17 Km to Galway City. Galway is a fantastic location in July & August with the international Arts Festival and Horse Racing bringing many people to the city and county. You can drive anywhere in Galway and take in breath-taking scenery. Whether you want a quiet relaxing stay or busy fun-filled time, this is an ideal location. We love where we live!.
This is our 1st Exchange & we think it's a great idea. Galway is a vibrant city and the county is beautiful. Our house is 200 years old with a small extension. We have a large garden, BBQ, Picnic Table, Swing, and kids toys. we are 4Km from the lake where there is a fantastic old ruin. Walk, drive or cycle to the lake where you can hire a boat and go fishing, Horse riding is around the corner and pub/shop are 1 mile from the house. Ponies in our field from the Riding school (to keep the grass down!) The house sits on 3/4 acre and is private. Car swap is optional and a car is recommended. This is a small farming area with lots of little roads to explore. The best of both worlds - quiet countryside and vibrant city only minutes away!

I am a freelance journalist, I also run my own business which is an After School Service, I teach Drama to children and I am an actress. My husband has an internet business. We have an 9 year old son who is looking forward to travel and a new experience. We have relatives in Montpellier so there, or close to there would be our preference.
