I'm a student, that's why I share a kitchen and a bathroom with two other people. There is one bed but I have a thick carpet so a second person could sleep on a sleeping pad (which you'd have to bring yourself).
My place is in the historical district of Heidelberg, next to the river (Neckar), everything reachable within 5 mins by foot.
