WE live in an 1850 town house with a garden in the historic town of Saintes in SW France. Saintes is one hour from Bordeaux and La Rochelle and 40 minutes from Cognac and the sea. It is a very attractive town on the Charente and there are lots of festivals during the summer both in and around the town. The house is a comfortable family house with all mod cons and ideal for a relaxing holiday
