There is a market in the square most days of the week and every Thursday there is a barbeque/music evening in the adjoining square where local farmers and wine makers sell and cook their produce to the sound of local musicians. There are several good restaurants and cafes in the town and all are just a short walk away. The infamous town of Oradour-sur-Glane is just 40mins drive away. This was the scene of one of WWII worst massacres when more than 600 local inhabitants were murdered by the SS. The original village has been maintained unchanged as a memorial and is a must-see.
