Our flat is in a upper class suburb about 7 miles from Paris. It's sober, comfortable and pleasant thanks to the park we can find not so far.
Chatou is well-known for the Impressioniste's Island, where Pierre-Auguste Renoir painted the "Déjeuner des Canotiers" and where you'll find La Maison Fournaise a gastronomic restaurant. You'll be able to ride bike along the Seine's side which is really nice on summer, to taste one of the best bakery of the town (for the greedy) and not so far, to go shopping and more to the first city visited in the world: PARIS...
