Our home is in Powell River, on the North end of the Sunshine Coast. We are a 5 minute drive from the Pacific Ocean, facing the East side of Vancouver island. There are many beaches along the coast, with walking trails, parks, woodlands, and sandy beach areas.
Our home is located on a quite dead-end street, and only a 3 minute walk from beautiful Powell Lake. This beach has a beautiful grassy area, sand, and a playground. Of course don't forget the amazing fishing here in Powell River - you can rent a chartered boat/guide, or go on your own off the shores of our lakes an ocean.
Powell River has 2 Golf Courses, a great little main street for shopping, a Recreation Complex for Swimming and Ice Skating, and lots of hiking, walking, and biking trails.
Powell River is also known for it's AMAZING sucba diving, and Kayak rentals are available too!
We're a 45 minute plane trip to Vancouver (2010 Olympics), and a 1.25 hour trip by Ferry to Vancouver Island.
Powell River is a great little town with about 18,000 people living here.
