Our Home
We live in a spacious, comfortable 4-bedroom, air-conditioned bungalow. The house was built in 1992, but has been continually renovated and updated. Cozy family room with gas fireplace and flat-screen TV and BluRay player (Netflix, good selection of channels) Master bedroom with queen-size bed, walk-in closet, wall-mount television - has en-suite bath (shower, oval tub, double sinks, toilet) Office with computer, printer, WIFI access throughout the home Bedroom with queen-size bed Another four-piece bath (shower, tub, toilet, sink) Main floor laundry room with front-load washer, dryer access to garage Lower Level Huge finished recreation/family room features large screen TV, CD player/stereo, computer for movies, kids games, electric treadmill, lots of DVDs Bedroom with queen-size bed Spacious guest room queen-size bed Three piece bath (large shower, toilet, sink) Other Air-conditioned Central vacuuming Double garage Small front porch Fully hedged, private yard Back deck with gas BBQ, patio furniture, mature garden is nicely landscaped FANTASTIC neighbours who would be available to help you out with any questions Location Our home is located in a sub-division of single family homes. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe, and family-oriented. There is a park/playground just down the street. Stittsville is about a 15 minute drive west of Ottawa. Stittsville was originally a small village, which has now developed into a suburban area. You need a vehicle as the bus service in Stittsville is geared primarily to commuters (at peak times during the work week). If you are driving, the Queensway (Hwy 417) will take you right into the city. The actual village of Stittsville is a 3 minute drive. All major shopping necessities are available, as well as many other little shops and conveniences. In addition, we are within walking distance of Canadian Tire Centre - home of the Ottawa Senators professional hockey team and venue of many fantastic concerts, as well as a grocery store, coffee shop, and other retail outlets. There is a large regional shopping centre - Bayshore Shopping Centre - 3 levels of shopping for the true shopper in you! Ottawa itself, has many shops, restaurants, markets Montreal (Quebec) is 2 hours away, and Toronto (Ontario) is about 4 hours away. The New York State border is a 2 hour drive. Tourist Information Ottawa is the capital of Canada. Extensive tourist information is available on the web: www.ottawatourism.ca Getting Around: The recently expanded Ottawa International Airport is located about 16 km (10 miles) south of the city centre. A 25-minute drive along the Airport Parkway or Hunt Club West will take you to our home. OC Transpo bus service, serves Ottawa-Carleton and has convenient Park and Ride lots in Kanata if you do not want to take the car into the city.
