Our home is in an elegant triplex on a quiet street. It is a beautiful two bedroom flat with hard wood floors and high ceilings. One bedroom has a King size bed and other has a Queen size bed and a crib. There is also a double pull-out couch in the living room, and a fold out couch in the reading room. The bright kitchen is eat-in (though there is also a large dining room table in the living/dining room), with views of trees. The back desk is very large and looks on to a quiet alleyway.
Mile End is a neighborhood in central Montreal. It is filled with cafes, restaurants, bookstores, local shops, parks and friendly people. It is the neighborhood in Canada with the highest concentration of artists. It is considered highly desirable to live here and very trendy. It is on many bus routes, and a short walk to two metros.
Montreal is known as the City of Festivals. There is always something special going on. It is Canada's most European city where French is the language of choice (yet it is easy to get by with English alone). It is cosmopolitan and lively without being congested.
In the past we have rented out our home several times and guests have always been very happy.
Montreal is one hour from the Laurentian mountains, with world-class skiing, biking and hiking.
