Great appartment for home exchange in Montreal.

Our home:
It is a 3 bedroom appartment. Located in a duplex on the second floor. Old charm yet very clean and in good shape. This is not a fancy appartment but we have all modern amenities and pride ourselves in having a cozy and welcoming home. Open area kitchen and living room. 1 very large master bedroom with Queen Size bed. 1 office with double futon. Living room has pull out couch. 1 of the rooms is mostly storage, etc. Large bathroom with washer and dryer. Terrace with table and chairs and barbecue overlooking Jean Talon market.

The appartment would be perfect for a family of 4, a couple, 2 couples or even a family of 5 if you don't mind one of the kids sleeping in the living room. You could stretch to 6 people if you don't mind being a bit cramped! If needed, we could provide with an additional single mattress which could be laid on the floor of one of the rooms.

For our trip to NYC, non simultaneous exchange could be arranged depending on when you want to travel.

Pour un échange avec la France, j'offre mon appartement de 3 chambres à coucher à Montréal.

L'appartement est situé dans un duplex, au deuxième étage. Charme ancien mais très propre et bien organisé. Ce n'est pas un appartement super chic mais nous avons tous les conforts modernes et nous sommes fier de notre nid douillet et très invitant. Cuisine et sallon à air ouverte. 1 grande chambre des maitres avec lit queen. 1 bureau avec futon double. Le salon a un divan-lit double. La 3e chambre est surtout utilisée pour le rangement. La salle de bain est assez grande avec douche/bain, laveuse/sécheuse. Il y a une terrace avec vue sur le marché Jean Talon, une table et quatre chaise ainsi qu'un bbq à votre disposition. Au besoin, on pourrait fournir un matelas simple supplémentaire qui pourrait être installé dans une des chambres.





Our Neighborhood
Location: located in the Little Italy Area which is one of the most popular amongst Montrealers. Overlooking the Jean Talon Public Market. Located 1 minute walk from Subway station for orange and blue lines. Downtown business center of Montreal is 10 minute subway ride. Airport is 25 minute cab ride. The location is really central in the city.

This is really an ideal location to experiment Montreal like a Montrealer since it is a residential neighbourhood but still hopping with much to do (not a boring suburb!). It is a lively neighboorhood with much to do in itself but also easy to get around to visit aother areas of the city. A large park is walking distance from the appartment.

Little Italy has tons of high end italian restaurants. The neighboorhood is a classic Montreal middle-class neighboorhood. It's quite multicultural like most of the city. It is very safe. There are theaters and shopping close by. If you are from NYC, our area is the equivalent of living in the upper east side.

Montreal is a great city to visit any tome of the year. As one of the only french speaking cities in North America, you get a taste of culture you get nowhere else on the northern continent. There is always a festival or a party going on. There are tons of museums, fine and international dining. The nightlife is fantastic and there are also great family activities. There is a lot of everything for everyone!

Localisé dans le quartier de la Petite Italie à Montréal. Quartier très aimé des Montréalais. L'appartement a une vue arrière sur le marché Jean Talon. À 1 minute à pied des stations de métro orange et bleu (métro Jean Talon). Le centre ville et financier de Montréal est à 15 minutes de métro. L'aéroport est à 25 minutes de taxi. Le quartier est idéal pour vivre Montréal comme un Montréalais. C'est un quartier résidentiel mais vraiment très vivant et avec beaucoup à faire (pas comme une banlieu ennuyante!) Le quartier est très vivant et c'est très facile de se rendre dans les autres quartiers de la ville. Il y a un grand parc à distance de marche.

La Petite Italie contient plusieurs restaurants gastronomiques italiens. Le quartier en est un classique de classe moyenne. C'est multiculturel comme toute la ville. Le quartier est très sécuritaire. Les théâtres et le shopping sont à proximité.

Montréal est une ville superbe à visiter quel que soit le temps de l'année. Étant une des seules villes francophones du nord de l'amérique, Montréal est très singulière. Il y a normalement toujours un festival ou un party en cours. Il y a plusieurs musés et des restaurants de toutes les sortes! La vie de nuit est fantastique et accessible et les activités de familiales sont nombreuses! Il y a beaucoup de tout pour tous les goûts!
