Our spacious home is located in the winery region of Niagara in the town of Grimsby. Our town is right on Lake Ontario and you can see Toronto across the lake. The beaches in Grimsby have smooth small round rocks but a huge sandy beach is ony 20 mins away in the town of Port Dalhousie. Grimsby is a friendly town where strangers greet you as you walk by. Our summers are hot (25-35 degrees) and sunny so you will enjoy the pool and gardens outside and air-conditioning indoors. You can sit in the sun or shade in our gardens, we are sheltered nicely with neighbouring mature trees where you can watch the birds and squirrels play.

many shops and restaurants are less than 3 kms away
walk to Bruce Trail for excellent hiking
walk to parks and playgrounds
walk to local butcher shop in less than 5 mins
wine tasting at one of the many local wineries
farmer's market downtown on Thursdays
beautiful sandy beaches about 20 mins away
drive to Niagara Falls (and USA) in 25 mins
drive to Toronto in about an hour
Our home has 5 bedrooms (2 with Queen beds, 1 with Double, 1 with Double and twin bunk, 1 with twin) and 4 bathrooms (1 has a shower and tub, 2 have showers). There are 2 large living rooms with plasma tvs, eat-in kitchen and separate dining room. the patio doors open to the back yard deck where you can enjoy a BBQ meal. We have a full basement with a large games room, big screen tv, one of the bedrooms, bathroom and full laundy room. We have free internet and 4 flat screen tvs all with cable service.
This summer, we would like to stay in France, near the beach preferably and cafes/shops. We would love to explore other countries after the summer and next year.
We are new to home exchanging and excited at the possibility of trying something new! We have been renting summer cottages in Canada for 10 years and always respect the properties of others leaving them in perfect condition upon leaving.
