The home is a bright modern roomy apartment located in Middle Park. It is on the first floor (US second level) in a small block, with two bedrooms (one furnished as a study with sofa bed), large lounge room, separate kitchen & dining rooms, laundry and two bathrooms, with a balcony overlooking Port Phillip Bay.
Middle Park is a quiet, tree filled oasis close to, but separate from, the action at St Kilda, the cosmopolitan heart of Melbourne. It is less than 5km from city centre, with access by choice of two trams, taking about 15 minutes - you can even walk to town in about an hour. The local village shopping centre has a good supermarket plus many cafés and restaurants, with hundreds nearby.
It is a fabulous area for bicycle riding or roller blading, with paths along the beach and to the city, or even kite boarding and wind surfing. Parks, gyms, tennis courts and golf courses are close by. My apartment is just across the road from the beach.
Now organised for this year (2010), but am looking for something in Europe in about May 2011, as I shall be joining the Trans-Molgolian in June.

And Victoria is spoiled by the diversity and beauty of the regions surrounding Melbourne, from vineyards, beaches & coastline, rolling hills, and the outback.
