This property is what you would call a tree change. I am situated approx 50 kms from the centre of Melbourne. The roads are great and the trains and buses are on your doorstep. It's a one hour relaxed train ride to central Melbourne with all of it's delights, including world famous beaches, restaurants, theatres and shopping.
My home sits in the middle of Sherbrooke Forest which is a National Park abundant in Australian wildlife. You can lay back in the big outdoor spa set in a large deck and be entertained by spectacular birds such as Rosellas, Kookaburras and Cockatoos or enjoy a good old Aussie BBQ in the warm Aust summer.
This is a very popular tourist area with world famous restaurants, galleries, antiques, great walks that start at the end of the driveway, B&B's, great shopping close by. Tourist attractions like The Puffing Billy, Ricketts Sanctuary and Healesville Sanctuary are on your doorstep but the house itself is very private.
This is a very peaceful neighbourhood with all the trappings of modern living very close by with a laid back country feel.
Somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere as I would like a warm weather swap in Dec 2009 into Jan 2010. It is the middle of Summer in Melbourne at that time.
